Dropzone

Vast areas of Surinam are not accessible by road or water.
Therefore Surinam has many (small) airports. Zanderij is both the biggest and the International Airport.
Even though Paramaribo has its own airport (Zorg en Hoop = Care and Hope), Zanderij Airport has been chosen as our jump site; a broadly based international airport with an obstacle free Drop Zone.
Use Google Earth to track down Zanderij Airport + Drop Zone : type in Zanderij and there you go!
Zanderi j Airport is actually a three-quarter drive from the capital Paramaribo, were we'll be staying in Hotel Queens during the entire Boogie.

Facilities

Given the fact that the Surinam Authorities have granted their collaboration, we dispose over pack-spaces, rigger facilities, a manifest, lunch stands for daily (warm) lunch and a general space for briefings, reception and press.
First-aid and an ambulance will be available.

Facilities continued

Skydive Surinam Boogie 2007 will be using a CASA 212 (400 series), piloted by 2.
The CASA 212 has a ramp and a capacity to transport 30 para’s.
Drop altitude from 14.000 feet.

Skydive Surinam Boogie 2007will contract the following coaching experts:
- Free fly coaches
- RW coaches for the advanced skydiver
- Load organizers for the advanced formation skydivers
- AFF instructors
- Camera skydivers
- Tandem masters
Depending on enlistment type, experts will be added to this list.

Daily schedule

- Jumping daily from 9 am til 5 pm.
Except for the festive weekend of November 25th, being Independence Day of The Republic of Surinam (a national bank holiday).
- Warm (daily varied) lunch at the DZ from 12.00hrs till 14.00hrs.
Prices will be announced as soon as possible.
- Before going back to Paramaribo (about 18.00hrs), a happy hour at the Drop Zone.
- After arrival at Paramaribo, first a shower in the hotel, and directly after a video presentation with a nice drink at the world-famous bar of Paramaribo ´t Vat (The Barrel).
- Shortly after that: dinner.

We will maintain this schedule during the whole Skydive Surinam Boogie 2007, with a few exceptions.
In case sufficient people are interested, both Wednesdays (evening) trips will be organised.
The last Friday a Fare Well party will be organized with live music, DJ´s and Brazilian Dancers.
